About the Concert: |
This concert will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 3
PM at Preston Hall, 44831 Main Street, Mendocino, CA 95460.
FBCA Music Series presents a violin-piano duo comprising Ukranian
violinist Igor Veligan and pianist Natsuki Fukasawa in a program of
Russian favorites.
Mr. Veligan settled in Sacramento, California, after a career in
many different parts of the world. He teaches at the University of the
Pacific and is active in orchestras as concertmaster or principal
violist. He also performs as a chamber musician with the New Pacific
Trio, the L’Estro Armonico String Quartet, the Arlekin String Quartet,
and the Argenta Trio.
Ms. Fukasawa who has been touted for her virtuosity as well as her
clear, delicate touch, recently delighted Mendocino coast audiences
with her sparkling performance as soloist with the Symphony of the
Redwoods. Her brilliant recital two years ago for the FBCA Music Series
left us wanting more. |
